Genevieve Bay Inn is located on the main road route 430, between Port Saunders and St. Anthony. We are 2 minutes away from one of the best rivers in Newfoundland, the Genevieve River. Genevieve Bay Inn is considered by many as the middle area for many tourist attractions in the northern peninsula. We are 147km from L'Anse aux Meadows National Historic Site, 128km from St. Anthony, 13km from 50 Centuries' Cultures Society Inc. in Bird Cove, 67km from the underground Salmon pool right before Roddickton, 24 km from Thrombolites Walking Trail in Flowers Cove, and 100km from the tapestry in Conche.

DONNA DOYLE, ONE OF THE OWNERS OF THIRSTY’S LOUNGE, INC, HAD 6 YEARS OF EXPERIENCE IN MOTELS BEFORE DECIDING TO GO INTO THE BUSINESS HERSELF IN 2003.
WILFRED DOYLE, PRESIDENT AND CEO OF THIRSTY’S LOUNGE, INC, IS A ELECTRICIAN BY TRADE, BUT ALSO DOES MUCH OF THE GENERAL MAINTENANCE OF THE FACILITY AS WELL AS HELPING WITH THE OPERATION ASPECTS OF THE BUSINESS.

"We noticed a few improvements: small heater in the bathroom, a door sweep was added to block out light and sound from the hallway. It was very quiet the night we stayed. The sheets are still amazing and the mattress is still a little dated but, after 2 weeks of sleeping on an air mattress - it was an improvement :-). I love that they used some of the old school furniture as decoration to honor the history of building."

"The motel was originally a school. It now boasts quality rooms, restaurant, a huge bar (with dartboards!), a dance floor, and a stage for live entertainment. The motel is sumptuously furnished. The one main corridor is lined with comfy couches and eye-pleasing wall-hangings. There is a nice little restaurant and kitchen, which does a booming trade in takeaway food for the locals. The rooms are simple yet quite lovely and very clean. Super comfortable beds with elegant bed linen and comforters that envelop and guarantee a good night's sleep."
