Our History

Genevieve Bay Inn started as an elementary school attended by the Owner, Wilfred Doyle and night of his children.

With a lot of hard work and dedication, Thirsty’s Lounge opened its doors December 31st, 2003. Thirsty’s was the start of fulfilling a dream for Owners, Donna and Wilfred Doyle to provide a welcoming environment for both locals and visitors to the island.

In 2008, Hungry’s Restaurant opened and quickly became a go-to for our locals to grab a delicious take-out meal of golden, crisp, deep-fried chicken and more. We now have a beautiful, rustic dining room for our guests to enjoy as well.

In 2015, conversion of the old classrooms into 8 Studio Suites was completed and Genevieve Bay Inn was established. Genevieve Bay Inn incorporated both Thirsty’s and Hungry’s in to the establishment. We are continually upgrading our services and amenities to offer our guests a lasting, memorable experience.
